New to yoga or looking for a refresh on the foundations of practice?
The Yoga for Beginners Course provides a step by step introduction to the practices of Hatha / Vinyasa Yoga:
Theory and Philosophy, Breathing practices, Physical Postures/Asanas and Guided relaxation.
Exploring together how yoga practice can improve your overall Wellbeing, increasing Energy Levels, encouraging Mindfull Eating and Weight Loss and developing a new found Strength and Flexibility both physically and emotionally.
The course provides a strong foundation to prepare you to join further yoga classes and courses.
In Level Two we explore the Standing Asanas including Warrior 1,2,3 & 4, Balances and much more ….Again with a kramic approach incorporating Pranayama ( Breath work) and looking deeper into the Yogic Philosophies including the Life Energy Systems/Maps of the Prana Vayus & The Koshas.
For all those new to yoga we ideally require you to complete Level 1 before 2 .
What should I wear / bring?
Yogasara is a dedicated yoga studio and provides all the equipment you need ( although you are welcome to bring your own mat) plus a very warm & welcoming atmosphere.
Who is the teacher?
Katie Despres trained at the Yogasara / Engaged Yoga Academy and holds a 500 hour teacher qualification with the IYN. Katie specialises in teachng beginners and has been running the Beginners course at Yogasara for over a year. She is also an experienced Wellbeing Coach and Mentor working with individuals and businesses across Bristol.

The beginners courses are non-refundable, if you are unable to attend the course after week 1, but no later, you can transfer your place onto another course or have credit for drop in classes with Katie Despres (to be used within three months from agreed date).
