Christine Gregory

Christine has been a devoted practitioner of the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method since 2003, and includes Rolf Naujokat and Melanie Cooper as her first teachers.
After making regular trips to Mysore, India to practice at KPJAYI since 2012, she has been Authorised to teach by Sharath Jois – the current head of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage.
She now makes the long journey to Leeds whenever possible to practice with her teacher Joey Miles, who has inspired her greatly, not only in her practice, but in her teaching style as well.
Christine has been teaching and assisting classes on and off in Bristol since 2010, but it is only since her Authorisation that she is committing to teaching daily classes.
Christine is an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher who loves to share this practice which is her life and passion.

Classes at Yogasara
Ashtanga Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that follows a set sequence of postures (asanas), joined together through the synchronisation of movement and breath (vinyasa). It is often referred to as a moving meditation, helping students to become stronger and more flexible, while simultaneously calming the mind.

This is a non led class, where students will follow the Ashtanga Yoga sequence to their own pace and ability. Christine will give individual guidance with in the group setting of the class.
