I came to Yoga when I was 14, after loosing my beloved father very suddenly in 2009. I bought some DVDs and started practicing at home, I completely fell in love with the feeling I got after class lying in Savasana. It immediately brought me peace, and most importantly started aligning me to a more connected and intimate path with my true self. Through Yoga I was able to make peace with my life and the things that had happened to me in the past, I was able to surrender to the future and be present in the moment. This is a journey that I have been on ever since, one that continues to move and grow me with every breath. Yoga teaches you that you don’t simply ‘complete’ these things, nor do you ‘accomplish’ or ‘complete’ Yoga itself. To me, Yoga is a union or a joining with your true self, your true nature as bliss.

With the strength I was cultivating in my mind and body, I was able to support myself through the most difficult experiences I have ever had to go through. I no longer felt alone, or at odds with the things I experienced and I understood that life doesn’t just happen ‘to’ you, actually life ‘is’ you and experience is a direct outcome of your understanding. I realised that the more energy I put into positivity, the more positivity I saw and experienced in life. And so continued my personal quest to health and happiness through this incredible and sacred connection, Yoga.

Something important I have learnt along the way is that Yoga is highly personal, just as we all look and sound differently, so should our Yoga. Ultimately my role as a teacher is to guide you through the cultivation of your own practice, through building strong foundations from where you can start to grow and experience your personal Yoga.
I offer Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga classes as the primary tool to building your foundations. Through this practice you will start incorporating deeper and more subtle aspects of Yogic practice into your life, and as the practice deepens, so will your inquiry into your self and your lifestyle.

Once your body and consciousness feel the support of these strong foundations, I am essentially looking for you to realise your own potential as healer, Guru. You will know what way to take your practice from then on, and I will be there to help and guide you if needed into the other aspects of Yoga such as diet, Ayurveda, massage, elemental healing, natural body care, and relaxation.

I continued to practice at home until 2015 when I travelled to India with my boyfriend Sam. Three months into the trip, we decided to pool the last money we had into an Ashtanga teacher training at a beautiful school in Southern Goa. I felt blessed to have come across this place, and even though this was completely unplanned, I couldn’t have felt more ready to start.
Returning home to England, I continued practicing the Ashtanga Primary series at home with the help of David Swenson’s book and dvd. I had grown to love his way of teaching, so calm and simple. Then in November 2016 I went to London to train with David on his Primary series teacher training course. Since then I moved to Bristol where I go to shala for traditional Mysore Ashtanga practice most mornings and where I study a 500hr Soma Yoga teacher training. Soma Medicine Yoga is an intelligent synergy of Ashtanga, Kundalini and Shamanic Yogic practices along with Ayurveda, Thai massage, Elemental Healing, Astrology, and other means to bring about balance and deep connection with the self.

I teach weekly from Bristol and North Devon.

I am the founder of Lunari Yoga Centre. An eco Yoga studio and treatment centre based on a serene smallholding at the edge of Exmoor National Park. I run weekly Yoga classes based on the Ashtanga Yoga system, workshop days, retreats and treatments. I’m also studying Organic skincare formulation from there.
