About me

I trained as a yoga teacher in Bristol, at the Yogasara Academy , where I completed a 500 hour advanced teacher training.

I am currently training to be a Yoga Therapist at the Minded institute in London – a 2 year course (550 hours) – I will graduate in March 2019.

I worked as a mental health nurse in the NHS for over 20 years – I enjoyed many varied jobs working in hospitals and the community, with both adults and young people with a wide range of difficulties. I am trained and I use a range of skills such as  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Brief solution therapy, Coaching, DBT.

What I offer

I will bring  a combination of all my skills & experience to each session. I am passionate about using the magic & wisdom of yoga & mindfulness  to  support people to improve their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Science now provides evidence that yoga & mindfulness practices have the potential to make long lasting changes to our health and wellbeing.

Yoga is not just asana (shapes on mats!) you do not need to be flexible or be able to touch your toes! Yoga and mindfulness practices have so many potential benefits for our physical and mental health – it is a truly holistic approach, which respects individual needs. Each session is tailored to meet individual needs – psycho-education is provided to support a deeper understanding of your difficulties and how the practices can influence changes. You will develop skills and tools to take away with you, to use in life to feel more empowered and able to manage life’s up and downs with more ease and confidence.

£48 for an individual session

£225 for 5 sessions – recommended to go deeper

Includes cost of room hire, 15 min consultation  and individualised summary of session and suggested home practices.
